ACBL Online Teacher Certification Program
Making online bridge lessons more engaging and effective is the purpose of a new Online Teacher Certification pilot program developed by the American Contract Bridge League (ACBL) in consultation with the American Bridge Teachers' Association (ABTA) and supported by funding from the ACBL Educational Foundation (ACBLEF).
It introduces teachers to apps and websites that offer unique teaching capabilities and uses each to demonstrate creative lesson dynamics. Teachers can pick and choose what works best for them. The workshop also assists teachers in creating or re-purposing online lessons.
The Online Teacher Certification program is a hybrid of ACBL's Best Practices and a variety of online tools. It consists of four sessions over two days. Participants have the opportunity to become Certified ACBL Online Teachers at optional sessions later in the week.
